DIY wedding invitations, worth it or not?

Is it really worth doing yourself, or too big of a stress?

It depends on how familiar you are with printing and possibly assembling invitations yourself. Do you have the time to play with it? Do you have patience to build the cards yourself? If so, then go for it!  You can always call on the help off others to make them faster.

It also depends on what kind of invitation you’re going for. The least stressful option for doing it yourself would be a boxed kind you can get at Target or other stores. If you’re trying to create an elaborate invitation with layers of paper, ribbons, etc, just be aware that most of the time this isn’t going to be cheaper than getting invitations from a local invitation store and you’re going to spend quite a bit of time with creating and putting it together. If you find the right place, employees at a store can help you find ways to cut cost, how to word everything, and show you what looks good together.
